P A Arbuckle and Sons is a long-established family farming partnership based at Star Inn Farm, Invergowrie, near Dundee, operating for over 70 years. The farm straddles the boundaries of Angus, Tayside and Perthshire, and is a diversified operation growing soft fruit, vegetables and cereals, and keeping free range hens and cattle. Their beekeeping operation places hives in the Scottish Glens, specifically the Angus Glens, where heather is abundant and the environment is clean and safe. They produce raw heather honey harvested between autumn and winter when pink heather flowers are in bloom. The honey is extracted using a specialised heather honey press that gently crushes honeycomb frames, and is never heated, filtered, or pasteurised, preserving all natural enzymes, vitamins, pollen, and antioxidants. Their honey range includes raw Scottish heather honey, raw Scottish blossom honey, fruit-infused blossom honeys (strawberry, raspberry, honeyberry), raw heather honeycomb, and whole heather honeycomb frames. They also sell gift sets, freeze-dried fruit, jams, seeds, and cold-pressed oils. The farm shop is open Monday to Sunday, 9am–4pm, from May to September, and they offer online ordering with free next-day delivery on orders over £40.
