Leamington Honey Co

The Leamington Honey Company was founded in 2020 as a small-scale, family-run honey and bee farming business based in the countryside surrounding Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. The company currently operates two main apiaries, known as 'Woods' and 'Fields', with approximately 20 individual colonies between them. Their honey production process is intentionally simple and minimal: honey is removed from the hives, extracted from the comb, strained to remove wax debris, left to settle, and then bottled into glass jars. The result is a 100% raw, untreated, unpasteurised local honey. Currently, their shop offers a 341g runny honey jar priced at £6.50. Beyond honey production, the company actively rescues honey bee swarms free of charge and offers a bee nest removal service, rehoming bees at their local apiaries. They are also preparing to offer overwintered 6-frame poly nucleus colonies and open-mated queens bred from their own stock, including locally adapted, Buckfast, and Carniolan strains. The family has a strong commitment to sustainability, having fitted solar panels, adopted electric vehicles, and eliminated single-use plastics from their business operations.
